On 21 June, the Exhibition Road area will come alive as never before when all the institutions in this unique neighbourhood come together for the first time to present a day and night filled with over 70 special music performances.
In the spirit of Fête de la Musique – an annual musical tradition launched in France over 20 years ago and already established in over 250 cities around the world - all performances will be live and free.
Expect a huge range of sounds and styles at the Institut français: no less than 8 concerts, 2 Djs, 3 workshops and a ciné-concert, with as main acts: Alexis HK (Labels / EMI) Susheela Raman (Narada / Virgin) Olaf Hund (Musiques Hybrides - distrib. UK Nova)
The programme includes French electro cabaret, British folk and German jazz, in the framework of the partnership between the Goethe-Institut and the Institut français.
