Classical
Son of renowned conductor Gaston Poulet, Gérard Poulet began his studies of classical violin when he was 5 years old. He entered the Conservatory of Paris at age 11, and unanimously received top prize for violin at age 12. In 1956, he won first place in the International Paganini Competition in Genoa. He is currently a professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
