Born in the United States, pianist Nicholas Angelich began to study the piano alongside his mother at the age of five. He gave his first major concert at the age of seven with an American chamber orchestra. At the age of 13, Angelich enrolled in the National Conservatory of Paris. Upon completion, he began winning awards including the 2002 Young Talent Awards and the International Klavierfestival Ruhr. His recent recording of Brahm’s trios with Renaud and Gautier Capuçon received a Schallplattenkritik’s award.
