French musician and conductor, Marc Minkowski, started his musical career as a bassoonist, playing with orchestras including Les Arts Florissants and La Chapelle Royale. In 1982, at the age of 19, he founded Les Musiciens du Louvre, an ensemble group that performs baroque, orchestral and lyrical pieces in three languages. In 2008, Minkowski received the prestigious Masque d’Or award for ‘Best Director’ from Moscow’s Stanislavsky Theatre.
