In December 2007, Daara J became Daara J Family, formed by the duet N’Dongo D and Faada Freddy. “Daara J” translates into “School of Life” in their native Senegal, and their music focuses mainly on human identity, social & political topics. The spirituality that is created through their reggae-groove music skilfully and artfully mixes tradition and modernity. Their new album, titled ‘School of Life,’ is due out in May 2010.
