For the last twenty years, Tinariwen has evoked the tribulations, the fight and the hopes of Tuareg people in a meditative and fierce manner: an electric guitar laid over percussions, flutes, traditional chordophones, songs rooted between the litany of a Griot and the rehashing of blues. Mixing a steady African beat and a dancing drive that invites one to undulate like popular music from the Arab world, this music helps one discover the imagination of the people of the desert.
