Contemporary

Ramon Lazkano is a contemporary Spanish Basque composer of classical music. He began attending piano and composition classes at the San Sebastian Higher Conservatory of Music, where he obtained a Higher Degree of Composition. His works have been played around the globe, played both by him and by some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world. His most recent album is 2006’s ‘Hauskor’ for eight cellos and orchestra. Lazkano is currently a professor of orchestration at the Higher Academy of Music of the Basque Country.
