Fazil Say is a composer and pianist who was born in Ankara, Turkey. He began playing the piano at age four, and continued to study his instrument at Ankara State Conservatory, followed by the Düsseldorf Music Academy, where he graduated with honors as a ‘Concerto Soloist.’ He became a piano and chamber music teacher in 1992. In 2008, he was chosen to be a Cultural Ambassador by the European Union to build bridges between Eastern and Western cultures.
