Growing up in the same city in Southern Algerian, the five members of Imarhan have been friends for ages, refining their fresh take on Tuareg music. Rock, soul, and blues combine with this Saharan sound, fusing the traditional and the trendy. Think the Doobie Brothers in the desert. Performing nearly 100 concerts this past year, with stops in the UK, Spain, France, Germany and 20 dates in the US, the group also released their debut album ‘Imarhan’ in 2016, for French publisher Wedge. The band is putting together their next tour, with performances already booked at SXSW and Field Day in 2017.
