Mai Lan began learning music at the tender age of 7 by playing classical piano and listening to her parents immense CD collection. Between jazz and punk, Chopin and MC Hammer, she began to form her own musical identity. Mai Lan’s music is audacious, and colourful, she is daring and because she is so she carries us far and into the great unknown. 12 songs of incandescent luminous folk, post punk, intimate pop, a hillbilly mutant; a prism of multicoloured lights that cross her divine universes. The album was recorded at Mai Lan’s home over a one year span and was completed at the ICP Studios. Max "Schumacher" Labarthe produced and mixed the album.
