Jean Guihen Queyras is a Franco-Canadian classical cellist. He has recorded Haydn’s and Monn’s cello concertos along with the Freiburger Barockorchester, as well as more contemporary works. One of his most recent awards was the Glenn Gould Protege Prize in Toronto in 2002. Queyras is currently part of the Arcanto Quartet, a professor at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart and artistic co-director of the Rencontres Musicales music festival.
