The Quatuor Modigliani was formed in 2003 and gained international attention in 2004 after winning the Frits Philips String Quartet Competition in Eindhoven. The group of young musicians has since played at such venues including the Kennedy Center (USA) and the Théâtre du Châtelet. Reviewers were impressed by their 2006 debut album, and they won the prestigious ‘Grand Prix du Disque’ with their 2008 album dedicated to the works of Haydn.
