Oxmo Puccino, born Abdoulaye Diarra, is a Franco-Malian hip-hop musician. While living in Paris during his childhood, Oxmo was always a hip-hop fan. The 21 year old began collaborating with future hip-hop superstars Booba and Diam’s, proving to have the skills of a successful hip-hop artist. His violent yet poetic lyrics portray stories of urban Parisian life. He released his first album in 1998, and has since released six records total, including 2009’s ‘L’Arme de Paix’ and 2004’s ‘Le Cactus de Sibérie,’ which confirmed his superstar status.
