Originally from Angoulême, Claire Désert enrolled in the National Conservatory of Paris at the age of 14, where she graduated with first prizes in piano and chamber music. She performs regularly in festivals around France, as well with the Quatuor Kandinsky, Emmanuel Strosser, Régis Pasquier, and the Quatuor Parisii. Her 2007 critically-acclaimed album is dedicated to the works of Dvorak.
